API’et kaldes på http://sandbox.madopskrifter.nu/webservices/WP/ WP7ClientService.svc. For at få adgang til servicen kræver at du sidder til eventet i København eller Århus. Derudover har du mulighed for at tilgå servicen efter aftale med madopskrifter.nu (kontakt webmaster@madopskrifter.nu).

A good app must at least implement the following basic features:
- Load all data asynchronously with indicator and error handling if connection fails.
- Implement a cache layer, data traffic is not free.
- List recipes and display them in an easy way for selection. Listing should be possible by free text search, categories, top recipes….. (main stream).
- Brand the name Madopskrifter.nu, logo and web site.
- Log the user on with their profile from www.madopskrifter.nu, so they can access their shopping list. (niche)
- Flag items on shopping list. (niche)
- Create the meal plan and shopping list directly from the app. (niche)
- Add recipes to a favorite section. (main stream)
- Change amount of servings. (main stream)
- Implement support for displaying multiple images, also full screen.
The current API is supporting the above functionality.
The current iOS app implements the above features + a lot more.
